I would first find out if the Provider already told the patient because they may have. If not, let them know, that their insurance denied the treatment and that the treatment is not approved to take place. Also, let them know they have options of looking at changing insurances OR reverting to straight medicare OR switching to a supplemental plan, if they so choose. It can be done with a Medicare agent and they often will give free consults to help them choose a plan that is right for them. Hope that helps :)
