Hi Everyone,
I am onboarding a Nurse Practitioner who will be practicing under a supervising physician in Texas and I’ve encountered a question regarding commission structures that I wanted to reach out about. The NP is asking for a specific percentage of the commission, but she is unsure of what the standard percentage is for other NPs practicing under a supervising physician, particularly in states with limited autonomy like Texas.
In my experience, commission structures can vary based on several factors, such as practice size, specialty, and revenue generation. However, I wanted to inquire if there is a general range or typical percentage that other practices use when compensating NPs who are practicing under a supervising physician.
Specifically, what percentage do you see as standard for Nurse Practitioners in similar situations?
Any insights or guidelines you can share would be greatly appreciated!
